Roadside signs designed by Mission Beach School kids

When Mission Beach puts on an event,  the local school kids get to work.  They design signs to place along the access roads to alert drivers they are travelling through cassowary country and to be  extra aware of their speed and to watch out for cassowaries crossing the roads.  We look forward to seeing what new designs they will come up with this year for the Community Cassowary Festival.

A presentation by international award winning photographer and presenter duo Jeurgen and Stella Freund.

"Dear all,

We are happy to  announce a wonderful collaboration. The Freunds have been invited by the Mission Beach Community Cassowary Festival committee to participate in their upcoming 2nd Cassowary Festival and we've agreed to help drum up the weekend event by doing a rainforest to reef presentation.

Our presentation will be a very interesting mix of our work in TNQ and beyond. We're sprinkling into our presentation our WWF work in Asia Pacific reefs and rainforest or our Coral Triangle work as well.
  • Prints from the 2014 'Asia Pacific Reefs and Rainforests exhibition at the Tablelands Regional Gallery are currently being exhibited  at the lobby of Castaways Resort.
You can see more of our work on the links below.

We look forward to being part of this exciting festival and look forward to meeting you on the 28th June".
