Activities the whole community can participate in showcasing their talents and creativity through art, music and science. Festival events will run over four days from 28th June to 1 July with the main celebration held in the park from 9am - 4pm on Saturday 30th June. (See here for program of all events) Groups or individuals working with the natural environment, particularly wildlife will be sharing knowledge about the work they do. Market stalls will showcase products and produce from the region The focus is on; the cassowary ecologically sustainable tourism wildlife protection homegrown/handmade and sustainable products The fun colourful event will be held at a beach location with a marquee and stage hosting Guest speakers, Music all day Performances etc. The whole community, young and old, is encouraged to join in a host of activities including; 'Gunduy Midja' The spectacular 'Drumming of Cassowaries' parade featuring life size cassowary and wildlife sculptures. Competitions Open mic Sand modeling and weaving workshops Lots of Art & Craft activities at the 'Stripey's Tent The event is expected to attract a big audience including politicians and national media.
