You’re invited to have a stall at the
​Mission Beach Community Cassowary Festival
Saturday 21 September 2019
Mission Beach Village Park
9am - 4pm

Promoting
Homegrown and Sustainable
&
'Mission Beach - naturally' branding 

There will be;
​Beach side Marquee and stage with guest speakers, live music, performances etc, 

Competitions 
Live native animals
Aboriginal dancing and art
Environment displays
Market stalls
We are expecting a large number of visitors on the day. 
Our aim is for a best practice approach to ensure the Cassowary Festival is environmentally conscious. ​
We invite you to participate in the fun! 

You are encouraged to theme yourself and/or your stall. 
Be creative 
Come along dressed in cassowary colours  . . . let your imagination run wild!

​Preference will be given to stallholders who can demonstrate that their environmental message/practices align with the Cassowary Festivals sustainability aims:  
  • be homegrown  (low food miles)
  • be organic
  • be sustainable 
  • support  'Mission Beach - naturally'  branding
  • support cassowary conservation (wear red black and blue)
  • All stalls are to have sustainable packaging please*
​The venue is Ulysses Park, Porter Promenade, Mission Beach. 
​Stalls should be set up by 8am and  remain until 4pm
* We ask that all stall holders have sustainable packaging please
such as paper plates, bamboo cutlery, and cardboard burger containers to minimise waste. 

(NO single-use plastics  (plastic containers, packaging, straws, cutlery, bags, etc).
Not only will these small actions benefit the environment, they will reduce the costs associated with waste management during the event.

 Please follow instructions below to assist us in correctly allocating sites. 

When filling out the application below;
  • Please be specific in produce descriptions.
  • Public and Product Liability Insurance must be held and proof provided by each stallholder. 
    You can obtain single day market stall insurance cover for $40 online  at  
    http://www.mymarketinsurance.com.au
  • Food Vendors must hold appropriate Food Stall Licence and proof to be provided by each food vendor 
  • All electrical equipment (including extension leads) must have current test and tag. Use of untagged equipment will not be permitted.
  • Sustainable packaging please.
